Irina Galieva

for Hercules City Council

I’m running for City Council to ensure Hercules remains a diverse community governed by trusted, transparent, and effective leaders. I will focus on the growth and prosperity of our city, where I’ve lived with my husband and daughter since 2006.

As a female immigrant, I’m honored to serve as the Chair of the Planning Commission, where I’ve demonstrated my ability to transform the residents’ vision into tangible results. Over the last 3 three years, my fellow commissioners and I successfully collaborated with City staff, Council members and developers on approving 7 major projects that will generate additional revenues for Hercules.

In my capacity as a public servant and in my profession as Vice President of Commercial Loan Banking Operations, I lead with the mission to meet strategic objectives. I inspire others by helping communities and people realize their full potential. My greatest assets are integrity, resilience and a strong work ethic.

I will continue to diligently work on vital projects such as the Regional Intermodal Transit Center, Waterfront, Safeway shopping center with a fueling station, Hilltown, Sycamore Crossings, including retail and our first hotel, while striking a balance between residential, retail, commercial and public uses.

An equally important part of my mission is assuring our city’s fiscal soundness and sustainability, which are essential for long-term financial prosperity.

During these unprecedented times of pandemic, civil unrest and economic uncertainty, Hercules needs a proven leader with fresh ideas.

I humbly ask Herculeans to vote for me. I will listen to your voices, and together, with my public service experience and business acumen, we’ll make our city thrive.
