Senate Bill 378 proposes giving judges more discretion in sentencing for nonviolent drug offenses, so that the individuals involved may be steered to rehab or other programs. Bay Area leaders apparently agree with this approach. Trying to figure out the quantity of drugs that actually gets you arrested in California, I mean it literally has to be in the pounds. Honestly they shouldn’t make pot a class 1 drug and the same punishment as Heroin, or Meth. I think anyone selling drugs that have the potential to kill, hurt and maim people should be incarcerated or licensed.
